All the movie buffs probably know what XBMC is. For those of you who don’t, it is basically an open source media centre application which is available across all major operating systems, i.e Windows, OS X, and Linux. It is considered as one of the best alternatives to Windows Media Centre.
It has been long-time hoped that we get an Android version for the uber popular media centre application, and finally we have got what we want.
Nightly builds of the XBMC for Android are now available. Anybody who wishes to use XBMC for their Android phones, can now simply download the .apk file and install it to their devices.
Of course, their are some bugs in this nightly version, but its good to know that progress is being made, and that we will soon be getting a stable version.

We have used it for our Android phone, and are currently testing it out on an Android tablet (Asus Transformer). We did not see many issues, but the application currently does drain a lot of battery. Screen flicker has been reported, but we have not seen this yet.
