Like it or not, Mobile gaming is getting stronger and stronger by the day. We don’t believe this, but analysists are going to the extent to say that Mobile Gaming is the future of portable gaming, and that the days of dedicated portable gaming consoles are over.
Whatever the case may be, mobile games are here and they are here to stay. We have all spent countless amounts of time, just trying to best our high score in Doodle Jump, or finish a certain puzzle in Angry Birds, and this is evidence enough about how strong the mobile gaming sector has become.
We have all played simple and enjoyable games like Angry Birds, Cut the Rope, Where is My Water? on our mobile phones, but slowly the market for high end mobile gaming is increasing. With the entry of Giants such as Nvidia in the mobile sphere and the incorporation of better and better graphics chips in mobile phones, we are seeing graphics of games reach console levels right in the palm of our hands.
Infinity Blade II has set a bench mark for mobile 3d games. The game shows of graphics which replicate Xbox 360 level graphics on a portable level.
Grand Theft Auto III, Samurai Vengeance II, Modern Combat 3 are games which take 3d mobile graphics to a new level. Yeah, the controls may not be perfect, but the games are quite visually appealing.
With the Budget of mobile games increasing, we expect that we will be seeing PS Vita Level graphics on our phones soon. And there is definitely a market.
Expect to see high end (and high priced), mobile games in the future from the makers which we typically see on our home consoles.
This is just the beggining of the mobile game market. We will probably see more devices along the lines of the Xperia Play, which will have more dedicated controls.
What do you have to say? Do you want to get high-end 3d graphics on your mobile phone?
