Call of Duty Black Ops was the game everybody was talking about in the year of its release. The game may not have added anything new to the series, but it did have excellent gameplay, and beautiful visuals, which made the experience memorable.
After the release of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, everybody was wondering what the next Call Of Duty game would be. People were guessing that Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 would be next in the franchise, and they were right.
It has been confirmed that Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be coming, and is expected to release around November 2012
On Call Of Duty’s UK site, the developers have posted the following , “Pushing the boundaries of what fans have come to expect from the record-setting entertainment franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 propels players into a near future, 21st Century Cold War, where technology and weapons have converged to create a new generation of warfare. Pre-order today”
The game will be a near-future shooter, and hence ditch the 1960s era. It looks as if the developers are going to carry forward the series on Black Ops’s shoulders and not continue the Modern Warfare franchise. This unification may be a good thing, as the developers can focus a particular angle in a better way.
More information will soon be given, as a trailer will be shortly released. We will update this post with the trailer, when it is released. Until then, here are some leaked screenshots.
